150/1200 SkyWatcher Newton OTA
150/1200 SkyWatcher Newton OTA with: 6x30 SpringLoad finder, 25mm (48x) and 10mm (120x) eyepieces, 2x Barlow
The Mira 150L (150/1200) f/8 telescope is recommended especially for lunar and planetary observers. The slower optics is of very good quality and can deliver higher magnifications than the 750mm model (Mira 150S). The central obstruction is also somewhat smaller resulting in higher contrast and more detailed image. Using the proper eyepiece lower magnifications are also reachable. Lowest magnification is 30x which can be extended up to 350-400x under perfect conditions. However the long tube (1,2m) makes the transportation a bit more problematic and a more robust mount might be needed. The focuser is a rack and pinion model with 1.25" size. Two eyepieces (10mm and 25mm) included together with a Barlow lens, resulting in magnifications of 48x, 96x, 120x and 240x. An achromatic 6x30 finderscope is included.
The telescope is sold with an EQ-3 mount, but can be purchased with other mounts, such as EQ-3 with steel tripod, EQ-3 GoTo, EQ-5, EQ-5 GoTo or even more robust mounts.
